Summer is roaring along. There have been shows, client trees, and paintings all making progress. I have a sub-tropical demo on August 23 for Sei Boku Kai Bonsai in San Mateo. I have been cleaning up my tropical trees in advance of the event. Along with those, I wanted to show some of my other trees I have been working on through the summer.
Ficus: Willow Leaf (ficus Nerifolia)

The ficus below had no roots when I bought it at action a few years ago. It had been jammed into a pot far to small for a thriving tree. I let the foliage blow out to create roots and now working on branches.

Below are some images of trees from work this summer.

Above is my boxwood before and after clean up. I hope to sell this tree after nearly 20 years work next year.

Above, you can see my grape filling out nicely. I am very happy about seeing it thrive and develop branches. The flower is a rare occurrence of a double blossom and this dwarfed rose of Sharon.
